Harlequins overcame a poor start to emerge victorious at Sixways and move within one point of second-placed London rivals Saracens. The points were shared in the first half, with the returning Noah Heward and Sione Vailanu scoring for Worcester, bookending converted tries by Tyrone Green and Danny Care, who became Quins’ all-time leading try-scorer with his 100th. Archie White and Tom Lawday then made sure of the five points, with Seb Atkinson’s late try proving a consolation as the 12th-placed Warriors came back to earth with a bump after a 19-14 over Bristol Bears last weekend.
Sale missed the chance to make it six straight wins in all competitions as they shared the spoils with London Irish at the AJ Bell. The Sharks achieved a bonus point courtesy of three tries from the Du Preez family (one of Dan and two for JL), and one for Arron Reed, while Declan Kidney’s men crossed the whitewash through of Terrence Hepetema, James Stokes, Benhard Janse van Rensburg and Nick Phipps, whose effort levelled the scores on 75 minutes. The draw sees Alex Sanderson’s inch into the top six (albeit having played a game more than seventh-placed Exeter Chiefs), while the visitors squeak into the top four (having played two games more than fifth-placed Gloucester).
A first start for Bristol Bears proved key as tries from Harry Thacker, Antoine Frisch, Niyi Adeolokun and Alapati Leiua secured a bonus point for the hosts, who remain 10th, while the result is a blow to eighth-placed Wasps’ play-off hopes. A strong second-half showing saw runaway leaders Leicester Tigers overcome a determined Gloucester to register a fourth consecutive Premiership win. The visitors are now sixth following Exeter Chiefs' win over Northampton Saints. Joe Cokanasiga scored twice on his return to action to lead Bath to a bonus-point victory and extend Newcastle's winless run to eight games. A seven-try classic at Franklin's Gardens was settled around a minute from time by Joe Simmonds' penalty as Exeter Chiefs moved into the top four, while Northampton Saints languish in ninth.
