Early on, it looked like we were in for a tight match, before the Roosters completely broke it open and dominated the first half. The Sharks looked absolutely down and out, I think we all really doubted their ability to come back from a first half performance like that. But to their enormous credit, they played a sensational second half and nearly came away with a premiership. Emma Tonegato and Tiana Penitani took the lead, with Ellie Johnston and Holli Wheeler putting on enormous pressure in the front row and Tayla Preston keeping things ticking over with her pinpoint accurate kicks. But in the end, the Roosters recovered from their shell shock to make important decisions at key times  the penalty goal in the 52nd minute was probably the key moment of the match, as that buffer proved to be vital when the Sharks scored with two minutes remaining. Importantly, the win gave Bremner a well-deserved fairytale ending and puts Elliott up with the great Glenn Lazarus as the only two players to win premierships with three different clubs. It has been an absolute treat of rugby league so far.
